Sweet as Cosmetics, founded by Federica Piccinini, specializes in the production of natural and safe cosmetics. In 2020, the paths of Sacchetti di Tessuto and the company led by Federica, which shares our meticulous attention to aesthetics, safety, and the quality of raw materials, crossed. From this collaboration, a selection of sustainable fabric products and packaging for cosmetics was born.
Sweet as Cosmetics: natural and safe beauty
Sweet as Cosmetics is an Italian cosmetics company that was born from the dream of Federica Piccinini, blogger and influencer known as Sweetasacandy: to create a line of beauty products that are natural and safe, for women and children.
In the laboratory in Spoleto, Umbria, the Sweet as Cosmetics branded cosmetic lines are created with meticulous care, both in form and substance: from the careful selection of raw materials to the design of the bottles and packaging.
Delicate and effective, Sweet as Cosmetics products are based on natural ingredients, free from silicones, parabens, SLES, EDTA, synthetic dyes, palm oil, or petroleum derivatives. Some product lines are certified organic.
Balance between form and substance: why Sweet as Cosmetics chose our products
Creams, oils, makeup removers, masks… Sweet as Cosmetics cosmetics are designed to combine beauty and health: an attention to form and substance that motivates us at Sacchetti di Tessuto as well. Our products, like those from Federica Piccinini’s company, combine sustainability and aesthetics.
At Sacchetti di Tessuto, we have chosen to prioritize quality, natural raw materials, and customization in every aesthetic and graphic detail. It is not just about work and attention to detail but above all passion, constant study, and dedication.
The request: to move from classic cardboard packaging to sustainable fabric packaging
Initially, Sweet as Cosmetics approached our fabric bag factory for a consultation: their need was to replace cardboard packaging with fabric packaging.
We then presented the possible options – various materials, shapes, and sizes – among those most aligned with the company's values, eventually creating a sustainable fabric packaging customized with the brand’s graphics and colors.
A set of custom fabric bags to enhance Sweet as Cosmetics products
From Sweet as Cosmetics' request, a set of bags in natural cotton and customized pouches with a delicate and elegant design was created, followed by the production of a hairband and a makeup remover cloth—new products for our fabric bag factory, of which we are very proud!
Canvas cotton pouch with blue stripes
Custom pouches, microfiber hairbands, makeup remover cloths, cotton/jute shoppers, pouches with slanted zippers… these are all creations we developed together with the company to add value to the launch of the new product lines.
The first model we produced is a white canvas cotton pouch with stripes.
The blue stripes and the logo print – the latter executed with screen printing – reflect the brand’s design, while the choice of material fell on canvas cotton because it is a natural and durable fabric, increasingly appreciated and used in cosmetics packaging.
Canvas cotton is in fact highly demanded for fabric packaging: it can resist tears and washing, thus accompanying Sweet as Cosmetics customers for many years. It is also easy to work with, and this versatility allowed us to create a neat and elegant shape, with long-lasting colors.
The pouch made in this case is very convenient, as it is roomy (despite its compact dimensions) and equipped with a zipper for a secure and firm closure.
Natural cotton pouch
The second product developed with the company is a charming pouch in ecological natural cotton with a zip closure: a model very particular in appearance and simple in design. The graphics were created using screen printing, while the yellow/brown color of the pouch is simply the cotton’s natural color.
This fabric can be defined as ecological when it comes from land fertilized through organic production systems, which do not use pesticides and chemical fertilizers, and is processed to maintain the fiber’s natural color.
Canvas cotton fabric bags with pink or green band
For the launch of a new product line, we created fabric drawstring bags, also 100% Made in Italy canvas cotton. The model was made in two versions: a larger one with a green band and a smaller one with a pink band.
Practical, roomy, and featuring an elegant and balanced color combination, it is perfect to contain the refined products of Sweet as Cosmetics.
New: microfiber hairband for beauty routine and makeup remover cloth
Not only fabric bags in natural materials. Sweet as Cosmetics asked us to produce two new products—new for us, specialized in custom fabric bag production—and we are very pleased with them: a hairband and a makeup remover cloth.
A challenge we accepted enthusiastically, materializing in the creation of a beauty routine hairband and a white makeup remover cloth.
The requirement here was to create products that were not only safe for health but also soft enough not to irritate the skin.
For both products, we used microfiber: a durable and washable material that is soft and helps provide a slight manual micro-exfoliation during use, promoting a healthy, radiant complexion.
The beauty and uniqueness of these products also lie in the embroidery of the Sweet as Cosmetics logo on both the hairband bow and the makeup remover cloth.
Cotton and jute shopper
Finally, we created a 100% natural cotton bag with a sturdy jute base, another very durable and versatile fabric, easy to wash and, above all, sustainable.
The uniqueness of this shopper lies not only in the combination of fabrics, which makes it elegant, durable, and practical at the same time, but also in its versatility: both in terms of size and colors, it can be easily coordinated—like any tote bag—and used for shopping, outings, or the beach!
