As in the case we are about to tell you: a packaging story, certainly, but in a very particular sense. Because this time it was not just about containing a product, but something even more precious: memories.
The protagonist is IlFotoAlbum, an Italian company that shapes memories by turning them into tangible objects: photo books, prints, custom albums, all made in Italy. Their strength lies in combining intuitive technology and simple online services with artisanal production that guarantees high-quality results. For a brand so intimately connected to the value of memory and experience, packaging also has to play its part: it is not just protection, it is storytelling, added value.
The customer’s request: resistant, practical and elegant covers
Time, as is well known, erodes memory and perhaps that is why we entrust photos with the task of preserving it. But photos themselves can deteriorate over the years. That is why when IlFotoAlbum contacted us in 2020 to produce covers to protect and accompany their photo books, it was essential that these were primarily made from a durable fabric. But not only that.The sleeves they envisioned, to enclose their customers’ memories, also had to be:
- practical, to allow the albums to be easily removed or stored when needed;
- simple and elegant, suitable for photos of solemn events such as births, baptisms, weddings or other special moments.

To meet their request, as always we started with a testing phase: after receiving samples of the various sizes of their photo books from IlFotoAlbum, we developed the first prototypes and, following several trials, we arrived at the final proposal: cotton mélange covers with a pocket inside and a flap closure.Let’s see the details:
- cotton was chosen as the fabric exactly for its durability and versatility.The mélange effect on an ivory base was ideal to convey the requested simplicity and elegance, as well as greater adaptability to events of different nature.
- The simple closure with internal pocket was chosen to ensure practicality.
- Finally, regarding sizes, we created as many as 4 different measures: one for each of their offerings.
Robust seams, careful finishes and attention to detail completed the work.
Once again… a collaboration grown over time
The new covers proved to meet IlFotoAlbum’s expectations: modern, practical, consistent with their identity and perfectly matched with the “salt and pepper” fabric covers that already covered the albums.
IlFotoAlbum expressed enthusiasm for the result achieved together: not just a simple accessory, but a touch of style capable of communicating delicacy and care from the brand, but also from those who collected and preserved those memories.
