Before the pandemic, trade fairs dedicated to Beauty and Cosmetics took place worldwide every year. These events were eagerly anticipated not only by industry experts and companies but also by those working in many other sectors—such as packaging, packaging materials, and fashion—because they provided an opportunity to launch new products and showcase the latest innovations in cosmetics, which would also influence future fashion and trends.

As we know, unfortunately, the arrival of the Covid-19 epidemic caused the cancellation and postponement of many trade events. Now that the situation is more under control, trade fairs are finally reopening, renewed with new formats—often combining offline and online elements—to comply with mandatory guidelines aimed at limiting contagion.

Then as now, two key themes increasingly characterize the sector: the focus on sustainability and Healthcare.

What better occasion than trade fairs for a company seeking to present more ecological products and packaging and thus win over visitors’ loyalty?

Let’s look together at the scheduled trade fairs for 2022 dedicated to the Beauty & Cosmetics sector and which custom bags in natural fabric you might choose to display your products.

The most important Beauty & Cosmetics trade fairs of 2022

Reduced visitor numbers, mandatory mask use, events broadcast online. Even under restrictions, the Beauty & Cosmetics fairs have returned.

    Here are the most important:

    • Cosme Tech: from 12 to 14 January 2022, the international fair in Tokyo focuses on beauty, technology, and cosmetics themes.
    • Beauty Forum Valencia: held in Spain from 29 to 30 January 2022, this is the reference event for professional cosmetics, aimed at sector professionals—both aspiring and established. The main topics are beauty, cosmetics, aesthetics, spa.

Guidelines for organizing and participating in trade fairs

In Italy, to prevent an increase in infections, parameters to be respected for every public event have been defined and introduced in the decree law dated 23 July 2021, no. 105 (the so-called Green Pass decree).
The decree lays down “Urgent measures to address the Covid-19 epidemiological emergency and ensure the safe exercise of social and economic activities,” introducing article 9-bis into decree-law no. 52 of 22 April 2021, which establishes that from 6 August 2021, within the white zone, access to festivals and fairs, conventions, and congresses (as per art. 7 of the Reopening decree) is permitted only to individuals equipped with a green pass.

Here is a brief presentation of the guidelines for economic and productive activities that apply to the resumption of festivals, fairs, and other similar events and manifestations.

    • Mandatory signage and posters and/or audio-video systems and possibly staff to provide clear information on prevention measures, understandable by everyone
    • Define the maximum number of simultaneous attendees
    • Reorganize spaces, including with floor markings, to allow orderly access and avoid crowding
    • Maintain at least 1 meter distance between participants
    • Prohibit access if body temperature exceeds 37.5 °C
    • The reception/cash desk must be equipped with a physical barrier or staff must wear masks and sanitize their hands
    • Encourage electronic payment methods
    • Requirement for disinfectant products for participants and staff at multiple points within the areas
    • Mandatory hand disinfection before handling displayed and/or sale merchandise
    • Minimum spacing for any seating to ensure at least 1 meter interpersonal distance
    • Mandatory mask wearing for all participants
    • Frequent cleaning and disinfection of all environments, equipment, and premises
    • Obligation to keep doors, windows, and glass walls open indoors to encourage natural air exchange (unless weather conditions or other necessities prevent this)

Planning to exhibit at upcoming trade fairs? Here are some tips for choosing the right packaging to hold your gadgets and samples

If you are planning to exhibit at a Beauty and Cosmetics trade fair, now is the right time to choose sustainable fabric packaging. Beyond setting up a stand that attracts visitors to showcase the right products—perhaps selecting ecological gadgets and freebies—it will also be important to pay attention to packaging.

Where to keep samples and gadgets? The ideal choice is a light and convenient bag that reflects the company’s identity and, as an added benefit, is sustainable and reusable.

What is best in these cases? Custom fabric bags!
Soft to the touch, customizable in every detail, available in various colors, and made from natural and organic fabrics, fabric bags can best reflect your company’s image and can be reused by recipients even after the fair is over!

Ideas and inspiration for fabric packaging suited to your brand

Cosmetic products are delicate and therefore require packaging that is elegant and, above all, sturdy.

The canvas fabric drawstring bag is an example of sustainability and convenience: this model is double-sided, with a heavy cotton canvas outer layer and an inner bag made of cotton drill. Spacious, soft, and made from natural fabrics processed without chemical treatments, it is the ideal packaging to hold a cosmetics set to present at a trade fair.

If you are looking for something more elegant and sophisticated, there is the white satin bag: luxury packaging ideal for gift boxes, bottles, and larger products.

For your makeup sets and other cosmetic products, there are also cases such as the makeup bag in certified cotton canvas shown in the image below. Visually striking, thanks to the contrast between pink and shiny blue customization, it enhances any cosmetic product, from perfume to makeup kits.

Choose sustainable fabric packaging, 100% Made in Italy, for your next trade fair. Take a look at our catalog!
